Frequently Asked Questions

Will COVID-19 cause delays to my order?

Thank you for keeping us busy during this stranger than usual time and we are so grateful for all of your orders. We would like to remind you that the postal services have understandably slowed down to ensure everyone's safety so please allow longer than usual for your order to arrive.

UK based orders are sent via Royal Mail and are currently taking around 3 - 10 working days to arrive.

International order turnaround times depend on the destination but please allow 4 - 6 weeks for your order to arrive. International orders are sent untracked unless you upgrade to tracked shipping at the checkout.

We really appreciate your patience and please only contact us if your order hasn't arrived after the timeframe listed above.

I think I’ve entered an incorrect delivery address – please can I change it?
Please contact us as soon as possible to make any amendments to order. We’re unfortunately unable to amend the address details once the order has been dispatched.

My order is a gift, can I send it directly to the recipient?
Of course, just provide the recipient's address and we can send it directly to the recipient. If you would like to add a gift message to your order, please add this at the checkout and we will print this onto a gift receipt which excludes the pricing information.

Can I return of exchange an item?
Yes, please refer to our Returns page for more detailed information.

Will an item be restocked?
We sell out of some of our products very quickly, but the good news is that we restock most of our popular products. To be notified when an item has been restocked just enter your email address on the product page and we will send you an email you when it’s back in stock.

How can I keep my Literary Emporium jewellery in great condition?
To keep your Literary Emporium jewellery looking its best please follow our jewellery care advice:

  • Avoid contact with perfume or lotions, they will react with the plating and cause it to tarnish. Apply these products first then put on your jewellery.
  • Keep your jewellery dry and do not wear in the shower or bath.
  • Do not sleep in your jewellery. They are delicately handmade so are not designed to be worn overnight.
  • A great way to keep your jewellery shiny for longer is in a ziploc bag or an airtight container.
