Thank you for keeping us busy over the last few weeks and we are so grateful for all of your orders! We would like to remind you that the postal services have understandably slowed down to ensure everyone's safety so please allow longer than usual for your order to arrive.

  • UK based orders are sent via Royal Mail and are currently taking around 5 - 10 working days to arrive.
  • International order turnaround times depend on the destination but please allow 4 - 6 weeks for your order to arrive. International orders are sent untracked unless you upgrade to tracked shipping at the checkout.

We have temporarily suspended our express delivery service as Royal Mail are unable to guarantee delivery by a specific date at the moment. We'll keep you updated and let you know when we're able to reinstate this service.

I hope you are all safe and well during these challenging times. I just wanted to update you on what you can expect from us at Literary Emporium HQ.

For many, books and literature provide a wonderful source of escapism and we’d love to continue to offer our products for as long as we’re able to. Obviously, it’s an ever-changing situation and we’re keeping up to date with the latest government advice but for now, here’s what we’re doing….

We (myself and my partner Ian) are incredibly fortunate to work entirely from our home studio which means we can safely process and fulfil orders without coming into contact with anyone else. We follow all government guidelines strictly. Our post is collected each day by Royal Mail and will continue to be processed while Royal Mail is still happy to do so.

Postal services to some countries will inevitably take a little longer during this time so please be patient and check with your local postal service to see their current operating status.

We’re so grateful for your support and it’s been wonderful to see many of you purchasing gifts to be sent directly to a friend or loved one in isolation.

We’re more than happy to add a gift note to your order if you’d like us to send it directly to someone else. Just leave a note at the checkout and we’ll arrange this for you. Alternatively, if you’re sending an order directly to someone in isolation and it’s over £10, we can handwrite a gift note on one of our postcards. Just use the code THINKINGOFYOU and your chosen postcard will be completely free. Make sure you add a postcard to your basket and leave a note at the checkout with your gift message.
