Hell Is Empty Shakespeare Embroidered Hat - Vintage Burgundy Cap
Embrace the darker side of Shakespeare with our ‘Hell Is Empty’ embroidered hat - a vintage-inspired burgundy cap featuring one of the most brilliantly ominous lines from The Tempest.
“Hell is empty & all the devils are here.”
Taken from William Shakespeare’s The Tempest, the quote is embroidered across the front in a gothic typeface, creating a subtle literary reference for those who know their Shakespeare.
Crafted from soft, 100% cotton, this Shakespeare baseball cap has a washed burgundy finish for a relaxed, lived-in vintage look. Its unstructured six-panel design makes it an easy everyday accessory, whether you’re heading to the bookshop, wandering somewhere suitably atmospheric or simply adding a little literary darkness to your outfit.
And yes, The Tempest isn’t technically a tragedy. Traditionally classed as a comedy and now often described as one of Shakespeare’s late romances, it might be the outlier in our Shakespeare’s Tragedies Collection - but with a quote this wonderfully dark, we simply couldn’t leave it out.
A unique Shakespeare gift for book lovers, English literature students, teachers, theatre fans and anyone whose wardrobe leans towards gothic, dark academia and vintage-inspired style.
